Sharing a letter from Valentina, Assistant Director at Mykolaivka Internat (translated from Russian) April 2009

...An enormous thank you for the help that you are all giving to our children. All is well with us all. I have told them that they need to all write their letters and I will try to get them all photographed.

Thank you for the fact that you have decided to celebrate All of the children's birthdays monthly. The children are all very happy with this. The children come with me to the store and they pick out what they want to eat. It comes out to be 1 cake to 4 children, and they are very satisfied.

Soon it will be Spring. In the forest the buds are beginning to come up and the bushes and grass are showing signs of green. We will be planting some bushes and plants on the school grounds soon. I am giving the children your vitamins every day. Spring and vitamins are very necessary for the children.

Marina, I would like to ask you to tell the sponsors that they specify who the parcel is for when they send it. They need to write the child's name inside the box or envelope. We received a parcel with no letter and no name, and only until Jane came in March, when you asked if we had received a parcel, did we know who to give it to. Now I know, and I have photographed the child with her things.

Please say hello to everyone for me. Please give Diane Sitkowski an enormous thank you for the socks and shoes for the little ones. I was able to accomodate the 1st & 2nd class with shoes and socks, and I kept the white socks to use for performances.
